A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an established Retail Store Manager, to join a leading discount retailer in the West Bromwich area. As a Retailer we take pride in delivering excellent customer service, availability and people development. We have stores across the UK and are growing our store portfolio at a rapid rate.
As a Store Manager what you'll be doing:
* You will have ultimate responsibility for the store, its staff, bottom line profits, service and compliance.
* You will be directly responsibility for all operational, stock, customer service, staff training development issues and store initiatives.
* You will be managing a team of up to 16 people and a turnover up to £50k per week.
* You will be fully accountable for driving sales and exceeding profit targets.
* You will be developing and implementing business plans and communicating targets, objectives to the team.
As a Store Manager what we are looking for in you:
* Ideally you will have a wealth of experience at an Assistant or Store Management level within a high volume, service-led and fast paced retail environment.
* You will have a very hand's on approach to work and enjoy getting stuck in to the job at hand.
* A strong background in people, customer service and operations management, coupled with a truly passionate attitude to achieve results.
* Applicants from supermarkets, discount stores and other large out of town retail units have been most successful in this environment.
* Deputy / Department managers from large out of town retailers will also be considered.
We let our managers be managers and give them autonomy and unlimited scope to make their own commercial decisions to maximise store potential.
